Petition to Vice President

Good morning, Mr. Vice President. When last year you wrote an essay entitled "education key to development" (compass, 27 August 2012), the expectations about changes in the educational system toward more good welled up in my mind.

Not solely because of Your brilliant idea on paper, but the main and first was oversize your heart to greet the public favour, the people you lead. For too long we have not heard of "intellectual voice" a leader in the public space through his writing.

You turned out to be not just write, but also take on the responsibility for the realization of the idea of forming a team of curriculum of course through 2013, the Ministry of education and culture. Really good work. The curriculum is a compass for the world of education. If we believe education is the foundation of life, clear curriculum is directions to where it will go.

We all know the result of sheer teamwork Curriculum that would bring him many problems. Pros and cons of going on. Some indeed assume that the usual things when we want to innovate. However, I don't agree. Slightest noise should be addressed. This is not a matter of politics. Do not let the enforcement decisions based on a comparison of the curricula of the pros and cons, as well as the signal has been sent Director-General primary and secondary education some time ago. Mr Deputy President, for me the problem is not on the pros and cons in such, but on the extent to which the curriculum can be explained "rationally" to the public. He did do a public test, but it seems the term is just another name of socialization.

As a socialization, the curriculum will still run. Whatever the public response. In other words, the public test is just an alibi for political legitimacy that the curriculum has got the approval of the public.

Simplification

In fact, the curriculum 2013 well-deserved is questionable. Here I show some parts on the field that corresponds to the concentration of my study, namely the Indonesian Language lessons at primary school level, which is further reviewed in cultural perspective. I hope this can be a concern, Mr. Vice President.

On the core competence (KI) field of study Indonesian Language written four KI, namely: "(1) Accept and execute religious teachings adhered; (2) have a honest behavior, discipline, responsibility, caring, polite, and confident in interacting with family, friends, and teachers; (3) understand the factual knowledge by way of observing [heard, seen, read] and ask yourself based on curiosity about himself, God's creation and its activities, and the objects that it finds in the home, schools; and (4) present the factual knowledge in language that is clear and logical and systematic way, in the work of the aesthetic movement that reflects a healthy child, and in the actions that reflect the child's behavior have the faith and honor. "

Four of these are the same for all the SERVILE classes (I-VI). In the world of writing, we used to say this kind of case with the term paste-copy (copy-paste).

The same four each class KI were developed into several basic competence (KD), which is very formalistik. For the first two KI KD; The second to fourth KI respectively five KD. It is for class I-V. For class VI, KI first two KD; The second to fourth KI respectively four KD.

A glimpse of that formulation may not be problematic. However, when further look at how the mindset and bound positivism became the base of this curriculum. A matter of humanity (language) are reduced or disimplifikasi with be on the surface layer. So, what's the difference with the old curriculum Curriculum 2013 if basic ontology and efistemologinya alike. Of course different is just the packaging. In addition, the pattern also be contradictory with the spirit that is often digemborkan, i.e. creating creative students and character.

Petition

Well, Mr. Vice President, though the formula of KI and KD still must be debated, I don't want to extend it. Now please note carefully the contents of each KI cited above. I thought, "whosoever" who thinks clearly definitely will never understand, how could a field of study called the Indonesian Language, in KI-its not the slightest essence of Indonesian Language lesson, talk. This is the case in KD (Please check for Fathers may not be quoted here).

If shortened, my studies of Indonesian Language learning areas curriculum came to the conclusion that the actual language of Indonesia substantially have never taught. Indonesian Language only addressed as a tool in a field of study called the Indonesian Language Lesson. Note, for example, is one of the KD for class VI is "has the concern and the responsibility of the special characteristics of living things and the environment through the use of language of Indonesia".

I understand the curriculum of integrative nature so that in 2013 the KD on top of the natural sciences are integrated into the study of Indonesian Language (though-there are mengada impressed). However, the name of a field of study is the Centre of various disciplines were integrated in the field concerned. So, for the Indonesian Language lesson, a staple phrase KI and KD should Indonesia language. In the case of KD, care and responsibility through the utilization of clear language in contrast to understand language to have concern and responsibility. The latter is what it should be, KD majors in Indonesian Language.

Well, Mr. Vice President, this space too narrow for sorting various chaos on the curriculum. In closing, on behalf of all those who question this curriculum, I state emphatically rejected. This essay is a petition. For the sake of the future of the nation, please let the father reconsider the enactment of this curriculum. Still plenty of time. I think we agree that the haste it often reduces the speed.
