The Teacher Should Note The Revised REGULATION A Right Of Assembly

The Ministry of education and culture are planning on doing a revision of Government Regulation (PP) No. 74/2008 about the teacher. A number of the signals these changes will curb freedom of Assembly rights of teachers.

So stated members of the Commission, the Parliament, X Rohmani in elektonikannya, Monday (18/2/2013). According to him, at least three teachers organisations expressed his rejection of the revision. Namely, the Federated States of teachers Indonesia (FSGI), Independent Teachers Federation (FGII), Indonesia and the Indonesia Teachers Association (IGI).

Responding to it, asked the Government heed the request Rohmani the rights of teachers. Freedom of Assembly is guaranteed in the Constitution as human rights. Cannot be a law prohibiting the right of Association of citizens.

"Our Constitution guarantees it. Vain only when Governments make a restraint REGULATION has elements of the fundamental rights of citizens, "said Rohmani.

If the Government wants to regulate professional organizations of teachers, it is fundamental to be aware there is no restraint on the freedom of Assembly. Precisely who should be gotten serious attention is the teaching profession a credible organization.

"These organizations should be able to accommodate all the interests of teachers," he said.
