He explained, the research budget is contested for lecturers who are interested doing research by submitting proposals to the P3M. For the first stage there was as much as recorded by 2013 60 incoming research proposals follow selection.
Of that number as many as 10 research proposals got away with a total budget of Rp absorbed 94 million. While the research proposal failed lecturers are still given the chance to make improvements.
"When you look at the number of research proposals that go, it means still quite a lot of budgets provided yet absorbed, so the opportunity to get the cost of research is wide open," he said.
Further he says, selection of proposals-funded research conducted its own UMSU twice each year. The selection of the first proposal in December 2012 and the second stage is planned April 2013.
"For the selection of proposals, with two UMSU P3M reviewers from outside the Prof Badaruddin from USU and Prof. Dian Armanto Unimed Professor who is also the Coordinator of North Sumatra Region I-Kopertis Aceh," he said.
