KOMPAS.com — plans to improve preschool education for children was announced by the Scottish Government. The plan is contained in the DRAFT children and Adolescents that will provide children ages three and four years 600 hours of free early education every year.
Currently, preschool age children in Scotland can enjoy education free of cost as much as 475 hours per year.
Non-profit organizations with a focus of work covers aspects that involve children, adolescents, and families will get endless Fund of 10 million pounds sterling. Aileen Campbell, Minister for children and youth, said the additional funding that is, from the funds of 20 million pounds which was first set aside.
Under the Bill, children aged two years, either they are taken care of by the parents and is deposited, will receive the same free educational facilities. The Proposal aims to help children and facilitate parents to work or to school.
Children's charity Save the Children welcomed the Bill, but insisted there are still many things that need to be done to improve the conditions of children living in poverty.
